Wow, you guys must really love Forever Beyonce! After literally manually going through well over 200 applications, I have been able to successfully narrow the list down to 20 possible contributors! I haven’t made a final decision on how many I want to select to contribute the site. A friend of mine and I had the idea of creating a “team.” Where there are about 7 or 8 people, including myself, Jason, and Fai, who update the site daily. But nothing’s written in stone.

I was just posting this particular message to let everyone know that APPLICATIONS ARE NO LONGER BEING ACCEPTED so that I can pick the new contributors this week! If you are chosen, you will receive an e-mail from me, and once you confirm that you still want to help out, I will create a contributor’s account? allowing you to post updates! Thanks so much for all of the love, and all of the applications. I had no idea this many people loved the site!

You know what? At this point and time, I feel like the sorriest webmaster alive lol. It seems as though I completely have neglected this website. For those of you that have been visiting for the past 3 and a half years, you know that I have nothing but love for Beyonce and the legacy of this website. But as most of you (if not, all) already know, I run an urban entertainment blog over at THINK2WICE.ORG, that is growing really fast. I love blogging about celebrities, and I still have tons and tons of love for Beyonce. But I am only one person. I’m going into my Senior year of high school, and doing that … and managing my blog, in addition to running this site is going to be a challenge. But I’m up for it!

Thousands and thousands of people visit this site on a daily basis, and I know some of y’all have some skills. Whether it be graphic design, obtaining exclusive photos, news, and media, or whatever. 3. You have to know HTML/FTP and be a quick learner.
4. Graphic/design skills aren’t required, but I’d love it if you know your way around Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro!
5. You must post a considerable amount. Beyonce’s a busy girl, so it shouldn’t be that hard to find something to post about her lol.

I know y’all were probably wondering what the hell was going on. I packed the site up and moved it to a new server last weekend, and said … “Hey, why not bring it back with a brand new layout?” So I did exactly that! For the past week, I’ve been working non-stop on this beautiful layout. Usually, it takes me no longer than 3 or 4 days to get a new layout together but this one was different. Most of you may not know what CSS is, but for those that do … I coded the layout ENTIRELY in CSS. There is not one table in the coding. What does that mean? Well, the more you browse around … the more you’ll notice! Because the site loads a lot faster now (tables tend to slow things down a bit).

There are lots of new things that you’ll notice too. I won’t mention them here, but I’m sure you’ll see them soon. I know the way I have it set up now is going to take some getting used to, but I’m sure you guys will adjust with no problem. Let me know what you think of the new look!! Oh, by the way … this layout is called “sweet sixteen” for many obvious reasons. Can y’all believe that we’ve been online long enough to have SIXTEEN LAYOUTS??

The BET Awards are underway and so far, so good! The show opened up with Jennifer Hudson and the legendary Jennifer Holliday with an amazing performance of “And I’m Telling You!” The next segment was Mo’Nique and a group of beautiful big girls doing “Deja Vu” - they tore the house down as well! And I especially loved the end when she called Beyonce the “Queen” of what she does. I LOVE MONIQUE! Haha, anyhow, Beyonce just won the award for VIDEO OF THE YEAR for Irreplaceable. She thanked the director Anthony Mandler and made a special thank you to Ne-Yo. Take that haters! A lot of folks were clowning Bey because they thought she was trying to take credit for the song, but as you can see … she gave credit where credit was due. GO BEYONCE! Anyhow, someone pointed out to me the current piece of work you have on your website. Bravo! If you intended for it to look exactly like an old layout of mine, you did it just right! I don’t take lightly to people “inspiring themselves” without my permission with work that takes me weeks to come up with and design. You’re no exception. I’m not sure how long you’ve had that up, but I would really appreciate it if you would take it down. I don’t want credit, it’s way too late for that. If you don’t feel the need to take it down, I will be forced to send over “my goons,” and trust me … you don’t want that!

A lot of you guys wonder why your comments don’t show up after you hit the submit button. A simple answer from me would be “Wordpress thinks you’re a spammer.” Spammers tend to include a ton of links with their comments, and sometimes legitimate comments get caught up in the mix. So a simple solution to ensure that your comment gets posted is to cut down on the number of links you guys post. If you would like a messageboard, just let me know and I can see about getting something set up for you all. I’ve noticed that you guys put a lot of links in your comments and that’s one of the main reasons why they get trapped in the spam filters. But if you really want a messageboard, I can hook you guys up with one.

Attention all North American Beyonce fans! Tour dates for the United States (and possibly Canada) will be announced tomorrow afternoon at around 5 PM CST! Be sure to save up your money, or borrow some, hehe, because shortly after, they will go on sale! Three of the US dates will be going on pre-sale this Saturday: Ft. Lauderdale, FL Philadelphia, PA and Raleigh, NC … so be on the lookout for those!

If you’re been visiting this site on a daily basis, you probably noticed that it’s been down sporadically the past couple of weeks (sometimes even the whole day almost). Apparantly, the server is getting too many requests (not your fault), and I’ve been trying new ways to fix this problem all week .. so this is why this site has been left in the dust for lack of a better term. But I just wanted to let you all know that I have been keeping up-to-date on Bey’s whereabouts, and I have a TON of photos to upload! I’ll probably spend most, if not all, of Saturday updating this site .. no need to worry ;-) Thanks for sticking in there with me! You guys are awesome!

Did you guys miss me?? For the past month, I have been working non-stop on this all new version of Forever Beyonce! Not only is there a new layout, but if you begin to look around, you’ll see that we’re using a totally new content management system that is so much better AND faster than anything we have done in the past! I really wanted something NEW and FRESH and since all fansites tend to look alike since we use the same scripts and what-not, I decided to branch out and use WordPress! Anyhow, I hope that you guys enjoy the new layout, and make sure you tell me what you think via the comments!

Oh yeah, about the comments… NO MORE TYPING IN THOSE RANDOM LETTERS AND NUMBERS TO POST A COMMENT! Also, if you register yourself an account (see the side panel on the right), you will be able to post your comments without worry of them being caught by our highly sensitive spam filters. In addition to that, you will see once you are registered, and logged in to your admin panel, you will see an option to upload your very own avatar - to better identify yourself in the comments!
