Beyonce Cheers Jay-Z Even While He’s Making Lohan Jokes

beyonce_jayz3201.jpg

Beyoncé Knowles was ever the supportive girlfriend Wednesday night at the VH1 Storytellers taping of Jay-Z’s special Jay-Z: Life of an American Gangster.

Knowles was hanging out in the back of Brooklyn’s Steiner Studios – dancing and cheering to every song during Jay-Z’s nearly two hour taping. As he performed the songs from his upcoming American Gangster album, Jay-Z (real name: Shawn Carter) took the audience on a narrative tour of the inspiration behind each song.

Jay-Z appeared rather jovial and joked with the audience: “Can I get my Lindsay Lohan on?” before launching into a new track about “addictions to the game” called “Sweet.” Laughing about his own comment, Jay-Z then asked, “That’s too far, huh? They’re gonna have to edit that out.”

Jay-Z: Life of an American Gangster premieres on VH1, Thursday, Nov. 8 at 9 p.m.

Beyonce’s Tour Includes Show In Shanghai

aleqm5htmzvaps8gdjoc75lor7-7os1x_q.jpg

Beyonce is taking her international tour to China.

The 26-year-old singer will perform Nov. 3 at the Grand Stage in Shanghai, according to a schedule posted on her Web site. Several weeks ago, Beyonce scrapped a Nov. 1 date in Kuala Lumpur amid speculation that she objected to a strict dress code banning sexy attire in Muslim-majority Malaysia. She replaced that stop with a performance in Jakarta on Oct. 30. Indonesia is also Muslim but has less stringent rules governing how performers dress and behave.

Chinese officials are also sensitive about the propriety of Western acts. They told the Rolling Stones not to sing some of their racier hits and canceled a performance by Beyonce’s boyfriend, Jay-Z, after deeming his lyrics “vulgar.” Stops on her tour also include Addis Ababa, Ethiopia; Cluj, Romania; Istanbul, Turkey; Mumbai, India; Bangkok, Thailand; and the southern Chinese enclave of Macau, where she will appear at the new Venetian casino-resort.

 By The Way. . .

Brittany’s back, not Spears lol. I’ve been busy this week for homecoming and had a good time, now i’m here to bring in the updates once more!

Beyonce Feat. Donna Summer - Heat?

Beyonce Feat. Donna Summer - Heat?

All speculation for now, but it’s interesting to think about.  Supposedly, The Freemasons will be doing a song with Bee and Donna, titled HeatTHIS website is reporting it to be true, and Zaney over at the CyberTLC forums apparently contacted Freemasons via MySpace and they confirmed it.

Like I said, all speculation for now, but that’s quite an odd combination so should be interesting.

Timbaland signed to do the majority of Beyonce's next album

In the rest of that interview, he also states that he’s sick of everyone ‘jacking his 80’s style’, so will be reinventing himself.  Should be interesting to see what they can come up with, especially if Tim’s changing his style.

Beyonce Fans, Meet the B’Phone!

Beyonce Fans, Meet the B’Phone!

A host of new multimedia mobile phones are poised to hit retail shelves just in time for the holiday sales season. Just a week after Verizon unveiled a touch-screen iPhone competitor as part of its fall device lineup, Sprint pulled the curtain back on a pair of new devices as well. The biggest splash in the music department is the Samsung limited edition B’Phone, a Beyonce-branded version of the UpStage music phone originally introduced earlier this year. It was unveiled this morning (Oct. 11) at the Samsung store in New York’s Time Warner Building. The handset features gold-and-burgundy colors designed by Beyonce, a Beyonce-themed startup screen and the ability to download exclusive Beyonce photos, videos and a song she recorded as a child.

“When I was 10, I recorded a song called ‘632-5792′ — a phone number. It’s a little embarrassing but it’s cute. There’s a recording of that song on the phone exclusively for my fans,” Beyonce told journalists. “I wanted to make sure people got a feel for who I really am. It’s only through this phone that you can get this close to my life.”

“Beyonce is a global superstar,” music mogul Steve Stoute, who brokered the deal via his Translation Company, tells Billboard.com. “Her fans love music, they love pictures and they love talking. A phone is a natural extension for Beyonce. It’s about working products that her fans like to indulge in.” In addition, the B’Phone showcases a dual-sided design, with an MP3 player on one side and a phone on the other. It also provides easy access to Sprint’s multimedia content, including Sprint TV and the Sprint Music Store.

Irreplaceable Grammy Predictions

Song of the Year

Amy Winehouse, “Rehab”: On everyone’s list.
Beyonce, “Irreplaceable”: The biggest hit on the list.
Feist, “1234”: We loved it from the start, and now that it’s happening, the bandwagon is forming quickly.
Kanye West, “Stronger”: Gaining momentum and, again, a unanimous choice.
Taylor Swift, “Teardrops on My Guitar”: We think Taylor will be a big factor in many categories and suggest everyone listen to this self-penned song, as well as the entire album.
John Mayer, “Dreaming With a Broken Heart”: A Grammy fave has another hot new current record.

Also thrown in the hopper were Justin Timberlake’s “What Goes Around…Comes Around” (with a big push from Mr. Hensley), Gwen Stefani’s “Escape,” Elliott Yamin, “Wait for You” (one of the most played of the year), Plain White T’s “Hey There Delilah,” Colbie Caillat’s “Bubbly” (early, but growing by leaps and bounds—the people’s choice), A Fine Frenzy’s “Almost Lover” (very early, but a classic in the making) and Glen and Marketa’s “Falling Slowly” (the song that powers Once).

Record of the Year

“Rehab”: Oh please, if this is not nominated in every category, there’s a real problem.
“Irreplaceable”: Great song, great production…just great.
“What Comes Around”: More strength in the Record than the Song category
“1234”: Visibility from ubiquitous iPod spot is giving it the attention it always deserved.
“Stronger”: Lead track from year’s biggest chart debut.
“Dreaming With a Broken Heart”: This perennial Grammy favorite delivers once again.

Also considered were Fergie’s “Big Girls Don’t Cry,” Rihanna’s “Umbrella,” Gwen Stefani’s “Escape,” Pink’s “Who Knew,” Taylor Swift’s “Teardrops on My Guitar” and Bruce Springsteen’s “Radio Nowhere (although we think Bruce will walk away with Album and Rock category noms).

When Jay-Z is away, his bootylicious babe Beyoncé will play. Spies at The Box Thursday night saw her and three girlfriends enjoying the club’s risque show while flanked by a “huge bodyguard” and protective curtains around their table. “Beyoncé was really making the most of the burlesque strip show,” said the source. “She was on the table in the VIP balcony cheering loudly as two girls got naked and licked each others’ feet. She stayed until 3:30 in the morning.”

Maya Rudolph on Beyonce

Maya Rudolph on Beyonce

Beyonce was on the show once when I played her in a skit, and it made me feel very uncomfortable. So I said to her, “You know, I hope I did you justice.’ She Said, “No, it was really good.” She’s so polite, it makes you feel impolite even when you’re trying to be polite. I thought, Oh my God, I’m going to hell!”
