I’m not sure if y’all check out AOL Entertainment’s gossip blog - www.tmz.com, but they recently did a feature on the BET Awards and unappropriately called Beyonce, OUR Beyonce, a “Roboho.” I was completely unaware of this. I haven’t had a chance to check the site out at all this week really. Besides, for the past week or so they’ve been cluttering their posts with haunting information about that Benoit dude and Paris Hilton. Booooring. Anyhow, I read it about it on some other blogs I visit and what I found at THIS SITE summed up just about all of my feeling’\s on the issue. You should check it out, it’s a good read!!

Here’s the final set of photos from the 2007 BET Awards, where Beyonce grabbed two awards out of her five nominations. She was nominated for Video of the Year, Best Female R&B Artist, Viewer’s Choice, and Best Collaboration (x2) . She grabbed the awards for Video of the Year (Irreplaceable) and Best Female R&B Artist. She also took the stage and the crowd by storm and performed an amazing rendition of “Get Me Bodied,” where she brought Solange and Michelle for the short dance break. Mo’Nique came out for a minute and shook a tailfeather too!! Then she introduced Kelly, who performed her new single “Like This” along with Eve. The video can be downloaded HERE. Beyonce looked amazing (as usual) on the red carpet at the 2007 BET Awards! She met up with Kelly and Michelle, and posed with them for a few photos as well. Performance photos to follow in a bit! Just so ya know … my inbox was flooded with crazy ass comments about Beyonce “copying” from Kylie Minogue. I wanted to see the video for myself so I took a look around, and finally stumbled upon it when visiting one of my fav gossip blogs - Crunk & Disorderly. Yeah, the robot entrances are pretty much the same, but is it really that damn serious?? Beyonce added her own flavor to it and in the end that’s all that really matters. And for the record, people (especially music artists) take ideas from their predecessors all of the time. There’s nothing new under the sun. Everything that’s going on now, has been done before by somebody! Case in point, when my grandmother sees dances like “Walk It Out” and “Lean Wit It Rock Wit It” she clearly points out that they used to do the same kind of dances back in the day when they were young. The only difference between then and now is that a new generation has added their own flavor to it. So please, get off Beyonce’s jock. If people looked into finding cures for cancer, aids, and other deadly diseases, instead of researching on if Beyonce copied somebody, then this world would definitely be a better place. Sorry about the wait guys. On top of me covering the entire show over at MY BLOG the server that hosts this site decided to go down. But finally here is the performance of Beyonce & Kelly’s (with special guests Michelle & Solange) performances! It opened up with Beyonce doing Get Me Bodied and then Michelle and Solange popped up to do the little dance break. Then out came Mo’Nique! After they did their little bit, Beyonce introduced her sister Kelly Rowland, who then performed Like This along with Eve! I didn’t expect NOTHING like that to go down, so I must say that I am utterly surprised The ladies tore the house down. Check out the performance for yourselves above!! Oh yeah, and if y’all didn’t know … homegirl took home the last award of the night - BEST FEMALE R&B ARTIST!

The BET Awards are underway and so far, so good! The show opened up with Jennifer Hudson and the legendary Jennifer Holliday with an amazing performance of “And I’m Telling You!” The next segment was Mo’Nique and a group of beautiful big girls doing “Deja Vu” - they tore the house down as well! And I especially loved the end when she called Beyonce the “Queen” of what she does. I LOVE MONIQUE! Haha, anyhow, Beyonce just won the award for VIDEO OF THE YEAR for Irreplaceable. She thanked the director Anthony Mandler and made a special thank you to Ne-Yo. Take that haters! A lot of folks were clowning Bey because they thought she was trying to take credit for the song, but as you can see … she gave credit where credit was due. GO BEYONCE! Well, as the old saying goes … all good things must come to an end. Bey and Jay have been on vacation for over a week now, and they finally hopped on an airplane to head out to LA for tomorrow’s BET Awards. But they spent their last weekend in Portofino, Italy at what looks like some kind of sporting event. But eff all that, who are those little kids? One looks to be a toddler (the one with the hat on above). And if you check out the pics below, you’ll see even more of another kid with curly hair. Who are they??

A British singer who has penned a song for Beyoncé Knowles hopes the track will catapult her to stardom. Tia Jean, 18, was offered a record contract after she was heard singing in the street last year. And it would be music to her ears if former Destiny’s Child singer Knowles chooses to use the song she wrote on her next album. Tia’s debut track, Walk Away, was named record of the week on BBC1Xtra and has been played on Kiss FM. She also travelled to New York, where she wrote songs with Salaam Remi, a collaborator with Amy Winehouse. Tia refused to name the track she wrote for Knowles but said: ‘I don’t want to say too much but it would be amazing if she chose it for her album.’

Knowles’s debut album, Dangerously In Love, sold 12million copies worldwide and she has had a string of No.1 hits, including Crazy In Love. Tia said: “It has all happened quite quickly. My friends always knew how much I love my music and they are really pleased for me.” The teenager, of Hackney, East London, said her family and friends would keep her feet on the ground. She added: “I still live in Hackney and so do all my family. I’ll always be grounded and it will always remind me of where I’m from.”

Black Entertainment Television network is ready to present this year’s BET Awards with some hot artists, good music, and expected surprises. BET President of Entertainment, Reginald Hudlin, and the network’s VP of BET Music Programming and Talent, Stephen Hill, headed up the cable network’s team to put together the 2007 BET Awards airing tomorrow night, June 26th at 8pm ET/7pm CT. On tap to appear are a bevy of stars from a plethora of genres, styles, and age brackets, but the show’s success formula is based more on who or what is not on tap. After all, this is the show that brought the cast of “Good Times” on stage last year. So what does it take to bring stars to the stage successfully and keep the show getting better and better? Hudlin told reporters that it’s a tough job, but somebody’s got to do it.

“It’s brutal,” he said of trying to improve every year. “Literally, as I watched the show in progress, on one hand I’m relieved because it goes so well … and then by the end of the show, I get really depressed because I go, ‘What the hell are we gonna do next year?’, but somehow we manage to pull it off. That’s what’s exciting. You think you’ve topped the topper and then you do it again. I’m really grateful for an amazing team of executives that pull the show off every year.”

Even with a glitch in the matrix, the show does well. Last year, Hudlin’s good friend Damon Wayans hosted the show, but was called a “flop”as the show’s emcee. Still, the 2006 show posted great ratings. “I was concerned because he was a friend of mine and you hate to see a friend in trouble. The show ended up playing great and we got incredible ratings. It seems kind of bulletproof. Even when things don’t work out the way you want to, it keeps on rolling.” This year, BET brings back 2004 host Mo’Nique. Not only did the network look forward to having the comedienne back, but Mo’Nique actually came looking to do the show, too. She apparently wants to go a round with Beyonce. This interview has been circulating around the web for the past few days so I decided to post it here! I used to hate that Wendy Williams chick, but I can honestly say that her ruthless personality and commentary slowly got me to liking her. She speaks what’s on her mind and doesn’t give a f*ck what anybody else thinks! You gotta love her! Anyhow, our girl Kelly Rowland stopped by the show and did an interview with her and her loser sidekick Charlemaigne (did I spell that right? I really don’t care…). I must say, Kelly held her own in that interview! What did y’all think??

You know Shorty, Beyonce’s big ol’ bodyguard, who was introduced by Michelle to the ladies a few years ago? Yeah, that’s Michelle’s cousin by the way. Anyhow, my sources are telling me that Mathew has fired him, and he will no longer be Beyonce’s bodyguard. He’s been replaced by what Mathew calls “a younger and more buff sentry.” Now before y’all start jumping down each other’s throats arguing about how wrong this is, word is that his $500,000+ contract was paid off, and he was given a $100,000 bonus! If he does right with that money, he can be pretty much set for life. So all’s well that ends well, I’d say!! By the way, yes this is the same dude who broke her toe getting off of an elevator back in 2005 when DC was on tour for Destiny Fulfilled….

I also just got word that Beyonce will be peforming GET ME BODIED at the BET Awards on Tuesday! Hmm, maybe they ARE in love! A couple of photos of Beyonce and Jay-Z kissing on a yacht in Portofino, Italy on June 21 has appeared on several gossip blogs and Beyonce fansites alike. Now you know it’s a shame when people are “surprised” (for lack of a better word) to see a couple kissing! But then again, we’re talking about Beyonce and Jay-Z here. What is this … our second time seeing them lock lips? Anyhow, hopefully this can squash all of those childish “Jay-Z is sleeping with Rihanna” rumors. I came across this Beyonceitis site a week or two ago, and I visit it every now and then and check for updates. I’m noticing that they update more and more with hilarious commentary and what-not, so I’ve decided to add a category to the news and post some of the stuff here … ya’know, just to give you guys a little laugh every now and then! This site needs to be spiced up, and this is definitely the paprika to do it =P

BEYONCE, RIHANNA, AND JENNIFER HUDSON AT THE BET AWARDS

A friend of mine who works at BET called me this morning to let me know the status of Beyonce’s participation in the show. First I was told that Beyonce did not want to go. But she’s slowly coming around. Mo’Nique plans to do ALL of Beyonce’s videos and for the video Kitty Kat she needed a catsuit made. But the BET Awards producers did not know where they were going to find 60 yards of leopard-print spandex. They were looking all around the United States and calling every fabric shop. They started getting frustrated. “Who in world has that much animal print spandex?”

So Tina Knowles ran down to BET studios. She had on her “business hair”, which is the wig that Beyonce bought her to wear when speaking to executives, presidents, and CEOs. While Beyonce was there, the producers pitched the idea of her and Jennifer Hudson doing the Diana Ross Tribute. Beyonce, of course was not to thrilled to share the spotlight, especially with Jabba the Hud. So they bought in Jennifer hoping to get her to change Beyonce’s mind.

Anyhow, someone pointed out to me the current piece of work you have on your website. Bravo! If you intended for it to look exactly like an old layout of mine, you did it just right! I don’t take lightly to people “inspiring themselves” without my permission with work that takes me weeks to come up with and design. You’re no exception. I’m not sure how long you’ve had that up, but I would really appreciate it if you would take it down. I don’t want credit, it’s way too late for that. If you don’t feel the need to take it down, I will be forced to send over “my goons,” and trust me … you don’t want that!

Beyonce left a fan in tears after she refused to sign a picture of herself that took him over 80 hours to paint! Artist Paul Stillwell said it took him over 3 days to paint the portrait of the star and Beyonce wouldn’t bother to give “two seconds of her time to sign her name on it.” Stillwell said he started painting the portrait to deal with his mother’s death and he traveled all the way to London to meet her, when she visited the country for her Wembley concert. “I traveled 100 miles to London and waited outside her hotel for five hours. … When she came out I showed her my painting and said, ‘Beyonce, will you sign my painting?’ She said, ‘No, sorry,’ and walked away,” the New York Daily News quoted him, as saying.

Aww, poor guy! Maybe if he had worked on the “abdominal area” a little more she wouldn’t have been as offended? I mean c’mon, that just doesn’t look flattering does it!
