New shipments of a Beyonce album released earlier this month will not include a remake of the song “I’m Kissing You” until a dispute about legal clearances are resolved, the pop star’s management company said on Friday.

The company’s decision came after a copyright infringement lawsuit was filed against the singer and her record label on behalf of the song’s co-writers, Des’ree Weeks and Timothy Atack.

Versions of Beyonce’s album, “B’Day Deluxe Edition,” released internationally will not be affected by the change, as they did not include the remake of the disputed track, the firm said.

Three weeks after celebrating her second B’Day, Beyoncé is pulling the plug — at least for now — on the re-release of her recent solo LP. Thanks to a pending lawsuit over her cover of Des’ree’s “I’m Kissing You” on her B’Day - Deluxe Edition album and video anthology, the singer and her label have agreed to stop distributing the albums and DVDs that include the song. When Beyoncé sat down earlier this year with MTV News to discuss the new material featured on B’Day - Deluxe Edition, she mentioned that her version of the song — which is called “Still in Love (Kissing You)” on the reissue — wasn’t originally intended for release and that she had just recorded it because she “always loved it.”

“It was one of my all-time favorite songs,” she said (see “Beyonce: Behind The B’Day Videos”). “It gives you this emotion — I don’t care who you are, you just feel it. So I just did it for myself — a lot of songs, I do like that — and I let people hear it and they were like, ‘You are crazy, you have to put it on the album.’ So I did. It was a last-minute decision.”

Indeed, Beyoncé’s team’s paperwork — included in the copyright-infringement suit filed in New York’s Manhattan Federal Court last week — depicts a rush to get permission to use the song, with letters sent back and forth up to and including the day of the deluxe edition’s release. According to the suit, Beyoncé’s team originally sought clearance on February 13 to use “interpolations” of the Des’ree song, which became a hit when it appeared in the Leonardo DiCaprio/ Claire Danes movie “Romeo + Juliet” in 1996. Lawyers for the two sides (Beyoncé and Des’ree’s publishers the Royalty Network) started talking, and by March 3 — a month before Beyoncé re-released her album — Beyoncé’s side had a “confirmation letter and license request” ready to submit. I’m hearing nothing but good things about this tour, and I cannot wait until she hits the States! You can tell she can’t cook worth a lick ’cause these two are ALWAYS eating out, LOL! We need to get together and get homegirl some cooking lessons or something.  The Royalty Network filed a lawsuit against Beyonce Knowles and her company B-Day publishing in Manhattan Federal Court, over the song “I’m Kissing You.” The song, which was originally performed by singer Desree and featured in the updated movie version of Romeo And Juliet’, was written by Timothy Atack and Desree. The lawsuit claims that Knowles violated the copyrights of Westbury Music, which is administered by The Royalty Network. Also named in the lawsuit are Columbia Recording Corp., Sony BMG Music Entertainment and EMI April Music. Desree is best known for her 1994 hit single “You Gotta Be.” Beyonce covered “I’m Kissing You” on the re-release of her album B’Day.

After her appearance on NBC’s Today Show, Beyonce made another stop on CBS’s the Early Show on the same day! She discussed the re-release of B’Day, the video anthology, and of course, performed a few songs! Check out some HQs above!

Beyonce dropped by NBC Studios on April 2, 2007 to appear on the morning television series - The Today Show - where she held a short 5-minute interview and performed 2 songs - Irreplaceable (English & Spanish version) and Green Light! Now usually I don’t believe things from Wikipedia, but this one seems to be true, because the featuring artists are correct, and a few of the titles are titles of songs that have recently leaked. That, and Pray was actually one of the 22 tracks Beyonce recorded for B’Day. Oh-Neyo have also reported it. So let’s hope this one is true!

I was informed that somebody on a Shakira board posted this… I don’t know how true this is, so I’m sorry if it turns out to be false…

I was watching “Escandalo TV” right now and they said that Alejandro Sanz said that it was time for him to make an all english album. he said that his body was asking for it. his record company did not want to do it but he is still do in it.

they also said that his album was going to be of all those legendary rock songs that inspired him when he was a young boy. also that the cd was going to feature many other artists among Beyonce. also they said something about Shakira but i couldn’t understand. i don’t know if shes gonna collaborate in the album or what. the CD is coming out late 2008.

but i’m not surprised if she collaborates because it is going to be an album with songs from legendary rock bands when alejandro and shakira were growing up and as we all know, shakira loves those bands. so i can already assume that shakira at least will b involve on the music part and not neccessarily singing. i’m just hoping thats true. that will b cool.

maybe that will inspired Shakira to make another CD with a more Rock sounding…….
