Okay, guys, I need your advice. My sister thinks Jennifer Hudson outsang Beyonce at the Oscars, but I don’t. Jennifer Hudson is a newbie to performing, and she still needs time to control her voice (especially when she sings the high and low notes). It just seemed like she was trying to hard to upstage Beyonce and it didn’t work out. She was moving her hips too much and just overdoing herself. Beyonce on the other hand, knew how to perform. She was doing all the right motions to make her singing effective and is truly a performer. Jennifer just needs some time to learn her natural key, because she shouldn’t have sang Love You I Do that high (you’ll notice why when her and Beyonce harmonize and Jennifer takes the top notes). She can’t do runs as well as Beyonce can, but I’m not sure if she was just nervous or what. Beyonce is a professional.

Jennifer Hudson didn’t really outsing Beyonce, it was more like she wasn’t thinking to me. Everyone knows Jen has a powerhouse for a voice but yea she does need to learn how to control it at times because sometimes its just not needed from her esp. in that performance. I wanted her to just calm it down a bit because B had to belt her parts even louder so she can be heard. BUT that does not mean Jen outsang her.. lol. Jennifer is a great singer/actress but she shouldn’t try to outshine Beyonce like that because it didn’t work she made a fool of herself trying. Jennifer has all the time in the world to improve just like B had thats why now she’s just phenomenal in almost everything she does.

Yea jenifer was good i think they both did great but you cant top 10 years in the game……No one runined it like anikia its so funny how she had yells lead up to the big yell

I agree w what most ppl are saying about jennifer and anika…they need more control over their voices. there were a couple moments where they were just out of control. there definitely is a differnence between having a POWERFUL voice and a LOUD voice. control is a MAJOR thing when it comes to singing…if u cant control ur talent then it just doesnt sound right. but, jennifer does have time considering beyonce has been around for almost ten years
