Beyonce Covers “Sports Illustrated”
Beyonce Knowles is to appear on the cover of this year’s Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue. The singer appears in a yellow and pink bikini under the headline: ‘The Dreamgirl As You’ve Never Seen Her Before’. The bikini is a design from the House of Dereon, the fashion label created by Beyonce and her mother Tina Knowles. The 2007 swimsuit edition follows a music theme, picturing the likes of Kanye West, Aerosmith and Panic! At The Disco posing with models in their swimwear. Accordingly, a five-page spread was also shot with model Anne Vyalitsyna at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. A spokesman for Sports Illustrated commented, “Once the decision was made to have a music hook, one of the first settings to come up was the Rock Hall, because it’s such an iconic place. It was a natural fit.”
