A negative petition started up by so-called fans began to circulate the web a few weeks ago, and it caught some media attention. I was told that even Beyonce herself saw the thing. Hopefully she didn’t pay it any attention! Anyhow, I was sent a link to a positive petition, and as of right now it has nearly 6000 signatures! When I signed it about a week ago, it only had a little over 2000. This site gets between 5000 and 6000 unique visitors per day, so if all of you guys take a couple of seconds out of your day, we can make the number move up tremendously! Former Destiny’s Child star Beyonce Knowles fears pop superstar Prince will never want to work with her again after she turned their duet at the 2004 Grammy Awards into “the Sasha Show.” The singer watched footage of her show-stopping performance with one of her heroes months after they teamed up to open the Grammys with a medley of hits - and she was horrified to see her alter-ego on the stage. Knowles claims she has a concert-stealing diva, called Sasha, who often takes over from her when she’s performing live. She says, “I saw that I didn’t even give him (Prince) the mic. It was supposed to be in the middle, not in front of my mouth. Sasha just took over.” Quirky Knowles insists she has been able to control Sasha’s antics for a long time but fears her fans will often see another Beyonce on stage now she’s a solo artist. She adds, “I just know when to be quiet and let other people shine… (In the past) I didn’t think it was appropriate to let Sasha out.”

To the left of this post is the official cover for Deja Vu - Beyonce’s latest single from her sophomore album, B’Day! I think the cover is really nice (mainly because I love that font), and different. Am I the only one that thinks that the little “bee” we’ve been seeing on her official site lately will be the logo for this era?
Rumor has it that this is the new album cover for Beyonce’s new album, B’Day. I think it’s pretty cool, but definitely not what I was expecting. I hope this isn’t the real cover. Beyonce Knowles had to get so mean and moody for her role in new movie Dreamgirls that it affected her relationships with her friends, family and boyfriend Shawn ‘Jay-Z’ Carter. The singer-turned-actress took a method approach to prepare for the part of starlet Deena, her first character movie, after brief parts in Austin Powers: Goldmember and The Pink Panther. She became so deeply involved with her character’s emotions, she began punishing those closest to her.
Beyonce says: “The material was very difficult in that I had to be moody and angry to make the role work. I was creating drama in my life so that I had something to feed off. I was mad at everyone and they were thinking: ‘What did I do?’ It was scary for people around me. They suddenly saw a change and were quite frightened at times. That was the only way I could really make it work and build myself up for the part.”

Beyonce Knowles has finally spoken out about her romance with hip-hop star Shawn ‘Jay-Z’ Carter, branding the hip-hop star “easy” to love. The pair have been dating since 2003, but Knowles has been notoriously guarded about discussing her private life in the press. However, she recently told MTV.com: “It’s very easy. He’s so quick. And we respect each other. If I have any suggestions he respects it. If he has any suggestions, I respect it. “It’s just, I don’t know, easy. And fun.”

Icon Entertainment announced that they have filed a $1.5 million dollar lawsuit against singer Beyonce Knowles, her mother/manager Tina Knowles and Wear Me Apparel Corporation. The company filed suit on Wednesday (July 19) New York State’s Supreme Court for breach of contract.
According to the Icon’s CEO, Greg Walker, Icon helped secure a $15 million dollar deal for Beyonce to create her House Of Dereon clothing line with Wear Me Apparel Corp., but has not been properly paid by the Knowles’ or Wear Me Apparel for his role in facilitating the business relationship. “Beyonce and Tina Knowles agreed on the terms of our business relationship, but have failed to properly compensate me for reasons unknown to me,” said Walker in a statement. “I just want to receive my fair share and move on with my business.” Wear Me Apparel, who is also named in the lawsuit, has only paid Icon Entertainment $85,000 to date for their services.

Beyonce Knowles is changing the release date of her new single in the UK to avoid a clash with Justin Timberlake. The singer’s comeback tune Deja Vu was originally expected to hit the shelves on August 28 along with Timberlake’s SexyBack, but it will now be released a week earlier. “This could have become a calamity,” a source told the Daily Star. “Both of these artists will expect to top the charts with their songs. So Beyonce’s moved her single forward a week, to avoid clashing with Justin.”

Wow, it has been a while since I’ve updated here, and I apologize for that. My work/school schedule has really been hectic this week. I’m involved in a few extra-curricular activities, and we’ve been having summer sessions this week. And that, along with work, really has me worn out. If I’m not at work, I’m at school. And when I’m not doing either of the two, I’m at home resting, which leaves hardly no time for the site :-( But I promise, it is going to get better!
