Dozens of women did their best to impress Beyonce’s record executives Monday with hopes of joining her new all-girl band. The homegrown superstar’s band will include drummers, keyboard players, bassists, guitarists, horn players and percussionists. Finalists from local auditions must be available to travel to New York to audition for Beyonce later in the week. The record label says they must also begin working on the road in less than two weeks. Only ladies 18 years and older could try out. Auditions will also be held in Atlanta, Chicago, Burbank, California, and Weehawken, New Jersey. Knowles — who fronted Destiny’s Child until their recent breakup — won five Grammy Awards for her top-selling solo debut, “Dangerously in Love.”
