Quality control for the House of Dereon is reportedly at slim to none. The fashion line, created by singer/actress Beyonc and her mother and occasional stylist, Tina Knowles, was said to be very poorly represented at the Magic fashion trade show in Las Vegas. Dereon’s booth, which was intended to resemble a villa, was rumored to be carelessly made. An onlooker at the show reveals, “It was so cheaply done, the vines were visibly Scotch-taped to the villa. It was very un-Beyonc.” A spokesperson for the fashion line says the booth was professionally constructed. And, he added, “It won the contest for the best booth in the contemporary area.”
