Beyonce became once again a target for PETA as she promoted her fur collection at the MAGIC fashion trade show in Las Vegas. Why is PETA picking on Beyonce? Three million foxes, raccoons, rabbits, and other animals are raised for fur every year in China, the world’s largest exporter of fur that is used in fashion. “Beyonce prides herself on being a ‘good Christian girl,’ but surely Jesus would not condone the anal and genital electrocution commonly used to kill animals for their pelts,” says Dan Mathews of PETA. “She’s also way off key for not realizing that today’s young women are rejecting fur in droves and resent the fact that she’s promoting and profiting from intense animal suffering.”
