Folks at Monday’s Bon Jovi concert at Madison Square Garden were laughing about how bored Beyonc seemed by New Jersey’s finest hair rocker. The concert was a work function for Beyonc’s beau, Jay-Z, since Jon Bon Jovi is one of the biggest stars on the Island Def Jam label, and Jay-Z became president of Def Jam eight months ago. “Anybody who still thinks her relationship with Jay-Z is just a publicity stunt should have seen the look on her face,” laughed a spy. “She was definitely being the dutiful girlfriend. She didn’t know any of the songs, and they left before the end of the show.” And no, she didn’t wave her lighter in the air during “Wanted: Dead or Alive.”

American soul singer John Legend is desperate to collaborate with R&B beauty Beyonce Knowles. The 26-year-old star - who scooped Best R&B Act at the Music Of Black Origin Awards last week - is eager to duet with the Destiny’s Child singer on his forthcoming album. He says, “I think I have to do something with Beyonce. She’s so talented and gifted - she’s an amazing person. Jay-Z’s one of my very good friends. Those two are great together - they’re the king and queen of the music scene right now.”

A couple of weeks ago (September 9, 2005), Destiny’s Child performed in Seattle, Washington. On the same day, BET was raising money for Hurricane Katrina victims during a special telethon called S.O.S. (Saving OurSelves). As you know, Destiny’s Child wanted to do something to help out hurricane victims, but were unable to physically be there to perform since they had a concert that night. So BET showed an amazing performance of them performing Through With Love via satellite! We have the MPEG up for download, so enjoy!! A special thanks goes to Roxana and Diva for helping me to get this video!!

Beyonce and her boyfriend Jay-Z were photographed earlier this week attending a Bon Jovi concert. The New Jersey rockers did this show in an effort to kick off the release of their brand-new album, Have a Nice Day, which made its official debut in stores on September 19, 2005. Other than being the launch for the new album and the Nokia Theater Times Square’s grand opening, the sold-out show was also a multimedia event that was broadcast live on AOL, XM Satellite Radio and more than 100 movie screens across the country. You can check out the 5 normal quality photos that were added to the gallery below.
So about those rumors that manager Mathew Knowles is feuding with Destiny’s Child, including daughter Beyonc … “You didn’t believe that stuff, did you?” Knowles responded Tuesday in a fit of laughter. Knowles said he “absolutely” will continue managing all three singers post-Destiny’s Child and in fact already has their schedules packed through the spring. First on their agenda though is the new single “Stand Up for Love,” which will be featured on a greatest-hits collection called Destiny’s Child’s #1’s, due October 25.
Matthew Rolston directed a performance video for the cut after the group’s final concert in Vancouver, British Columbia, earlier this month. #1’s will also feature two other new tracks, the group’s “Feel the Same Way I Do” and Beyonc’s “Check on It” from the upcoming “The Pink Panther” prequel, which stars the singer and Steve Martin. Other tracks include: “Independent Women Part I,” “Survivor,” “Soldier,” “Jumpin’, Jumpin’,” “Lose My Breath,” “Say My Name,” “Emotion,” “Bug A Boo,” “Bootylicious,” “Bills, Bills, Bills, “Girl,” “No, No, No Part 2″ featuring Wyclef Jean and “Cater 2 U.” Click Here to check out the beautiful cover for the upcoming greatest hits album known as “Destiny’s Child - #1’s.”
Rapper Jay-Z is still refusing to speak to the press about his relationship with Beyonce Knowles - despite dating the Destiny’s Child beauty for three years. Girls Girls Girls star Jay-Z is notoriously private about his life with Knowles, and he insists that side of him will never change. He tells British magazine GQ, “Right. We’re not going to talk about that at all. It’s self-explanatory. I don’t talk about it. Certain things you have to keep private.”

Mariah Carey’s comeback continues, with her name announced at the top of the nominee list for the upcoming American Music Awards. For the 33rd edition of the AMAs, Carey and her recent chart-blazer, The Emancipation Of Mimi, have garnered nods for favourite female artist and album in both the pop/rock and soul/r&b categories. The runners-up, at three nominations each, were 50 Cent (with The Massacre), Idol alum Kelly Clarkson (with Breakaway) and Green Day with their ridiculously popular American Idiot. In the long shadow of first place, Eminem, Destiny’s Child, Fantasia, Toby Keith, Tim McGraw and Gretchen Wilson each netted two nominations. Of course, as much as “it’s an honour just to be nominated,” we all know it’s the winning that counts so the nominees can compare their actual statues when they’re handed out November 22 in Los Angeles.

Private label designer Tarrant Apparel Group has named Jeffrey Tweedy as president of its licensed women’s fashion line, House of Dereon, which was founded by entertainment superstar Beyonce and her mother Tina Knowles. Seasoned fashion executive Tweedy has more than 25 years of expertise gained while working to build a number of high profile brands including Sean John, Polo Ralph Lauren, Alexander Julian, Hugo Boss, Cross Colours, Karl Kani Jeans and Spike’s Joint. Most recently Tweedy was the executive vice president of Sean John, the $450 million men’s lifestyle brand of hip hop impresario Sean ‘P Diddy’ Combs. “Our goal is to create a successful lifestyle brand and Jeffrey, who is known as ‘the future of fashion,’ is the right person to help lead our success,” said Tina Knowles.
Sean Paul is convinced Destiny’s Child star Beyonce snubbed performing with him at the MTV Awards in 2003, because he is too sexy. The ‘We Be Burning’ star was due to hit the stage with the 24 year-old beauty for a rendition of their collaboration Baby Boy, but the duet was banned by MTV bosses and Beyonce’s other half, rapper Jay-Z. He now says, “I did feel proper gutted but I guess my dancing was just too x-rated. I don’t blame Jay Z. I wouldn’t want no other artists near her either.”

It looks like we haven’t seen the last of Destiny’s Child. Just one day after they performed their last concert in Vancouver, British Columbia, the ladies shot what could be their final music video together, for “Stand Up for Love.” It was directed by Matthew Rolston, and their label rep says it will deal with an as-yet-unspecified “recent world crisis.” … Hmm, I wonder what that “world crisis” could be? Looks like we’ll just have to wait and see! hehe

Naomi Campbell brought the curtain down on Fashion Week last week with a giddy gallop down the catwalk accompanied by friends like Kelly Osbourne, Nicole Richie and surprise strutter Beyonc. Campbell, who organized the show, “Fashion For Relief,” to benefit victims of Hurricane Katrina, got a standing ovation from the 1,000-strong audience made up of people who paid $100-a-head to attend. The charity show featured an oddball collection of clothes from designers, including Gwen Stefani for L.A.M.B. a collection that made its Fashion Week debut (and possible finale).
