DC3 Attend the 2005 MTV Video Music Awards

Oscar winner Jamie Foxx gave Destiny’s Child a special send-off at the Mtv Video Music Awards in Miami, Florida, last night, when he insisted they join him onstage to present the night’s biggest prize, Best Video Of The Year to Green Day. The trio, who plan to split up next month, had hoped to just “sit in the audience” and enjoy the show, but Foxx had other ideas. Paying tribute to them and calling them “the biggest selling girl group of all time,” the actor said, “If these ladies are ending an era it’s only right that we have the chance to send them off in high style.” Singer Kelly Rowland swept away tears to state, “We want you all to know how much we love you guys. You’ve made all of our dreams come true.”

Over 100 photos (both midres and hires) were added to the gallery today. Check out by clicking Here or by clicking on the thumbnails below. This concludes our 2005 MTV Video Music Awards Coverage, and make sure you check back tomorrow for some possible photos and information from the World Music Awards!

DC3 Present Award for Video of the Year

Even though Destiny’s Child didn’t win any of their nominations, I thought it was pretty cool how Jamie Foxx gave them a nice introduction before they came out on stage to present the award for Video of the Year. Was it just me … or did they sound a little sad when they were thanking the fans for their support? I mean, this is one of their last award shows together. Anyhow, along with a few other categories, Green Day took home this award for their video Boulevard of Broken Dreams. Check out Destiny’s Child and Jamie Foxx presenting the award for Video of the Year in Real Media format below.

Damien Interviews Destiny’s Child on the White Carpet

Destiny’s Child arrived fashionably late to this year’s MTV Video Music Awards because after they posed for photographers and did a few interviews, it was time for an MTV VJ to interview them on the White Carpet. Damien, one of MTV’s popular VJs, interviewed Destiny’s Child and basically talked about the split. Us fans were a little disapointed because they were not on the list of performers, but DC didn’t seem to mind. Beyonce said herself, that they were happy to not be performing because they actually get to sit down in the audience and “enjoy the beautiful night.” I uploaded this interview in Real Media format and you can download the file below.

MY VIEWS ON THE 2005 VIDEO MUSIC AWARDS!

Well, the 2005 MTV Video Music Awards are over, and I must say that I am surprised. Last year, I was all hyped up because the show was in Miami … and ended up disapointed because of the way it turned out. But not this year! Diddy really did his thang!! I didn’t expect him to do a good job, but man, he sure did prove me wrong!! I loved the aqua theme, the sets, the waterfalls, the lighting, the flow, EVERYTHING! I just loved this show lol. Anyhow, I was a little disapointed because DC3 didn’t take any moonmen home, but oh well hehe. It’s not like they don’t already have a room full of trophies, awards, and other recognitions. But back to the VMAs. Below, you will see what I liked about the show. Make sure you post your comments on the show and check back tomorrow for tons of photos and a few videos featuring none other than Destiny’s Child! Goodnight y’all and see ya tomorrow!

I loved the beginning when Diddy came out on stage. That was very creative and had me goin “wow.” One of my favorite performances, and probably the most creative was Mariah Carey. I didn’t expect for her to amaze me with a performance (vocals yeah .. but performance-wise? .. nah), but she did her thing. I loved how at the end she got in the water and splashed it hehe. And the tribute to Biggy was pretty cool. You can really tell that he and Diddy were really good friends back in the day. All in all, the entire show blew me away and I hope next year is even better! So, what did you guys think about the show?
