Destiny’s Child is about to be immortalized in plastic. In August, Mattel will release Destiny’s Child dolls as part of its celebrity Barbie doll collection, reports MTV.com. The plastic toy versions of Beyonce, Kelly and Michelle are set to retail for $20 each and come dressed in outfits that are inspired by what the trio wore at the 2004 Fashion Rocks concert in New York City. Beyonce’s mom and Destiny’s Child wardrobe designer Tina Knowles provided guidance to Mattel while the dolls were being created and even met with the toy manufacturer about the girls’ costumes. Mattel will also release special collectible Barbie versions of country music artists Martina McBride and LeAnn Rimes and Disney star Raven-Symone.
