Destiny’s Child Perform at the 2005 BET Awards

Destiny’s child did a rendition of their current single Cater 2 U. But folks, they didn’t perform this the way we all know it. They did a magnificent job of showing us just what to expect at their North American tour this summer. The girls catered to 3 celebrities this evening, just as they will cater to 3 guys at their shows. Michelle catered to Magic Johnson, Kelly catered to Nelly, and Beyonce catered to the star of Hustle & Flow, Terrence Howard. Of course we have the video up for download in a high quality MPEG Format, but this wouldn’t be possible without my best friend, Diva. Many thanks goes to her for hosting this file for us! Check out the download below, and please … do not abuse her server by hotlinking. The username & password to access the file is directly below this post. Enjoy the video and expect tons of photos from the show later!

Beyonce’s Record Label In Serious Financial Trouble

THE world’s biggest independent record label today warned that its profits had collapsed after a series of disastrous delays to record releases. Sanctuary, home to artists ranging from Elton John and Morrissey to Destiny’s Child and Beyonc, faces serious concerns about its future and businesses may be sold off to deal with the crisis. Sanctuary is buckling under nearly £118m of borrowings, higher than the company forecasts and more than it is ‘comfortable with going forward,’ the company said in a statement accompanying annual figures today. The music group, based in Hammermith, West London, may even be sold off in its entirety to a larger rival such as EMI.

Sanctuary was founded in the Seventies by Cambridge undergraduates Andy Taylor and Rod Smallwood, who hit the big time when they discovered heavy metal band Iron Maiden in a pub in 1979. The band went on to worldwide success. But today Mr Taylor, executive chairman, confirmed that £9.3m had been wiped from Sanctuary’s expected turnover in the first half of trading to the end of March after “slippage from releases” caused a shortfall of 1.3m unit sales.

Sanctuary slumped to losses of £2.18m compared with £3.8m of pre-tax profits this time last year, and the label said it was embarking on a cost savings plan of “at least £7m to £8m.” Mr Taylor said: “I am clearly disappointed that set-backs within the recorded product releases have resulted in a lack of growth in the business.”

Beyonce Attends VH1 Save the Music Auction

I actually uploaded these photos a couple of days ago, but I’ve been so busy posting at the new Message Board that I completely forgot! I apologize for that lol. Anyhow, Beyonce attended a charity auction in New York last week in an effort to save children’s music programs in schools across the United States. The auction is ongoing at New York’s Museum of Television and Radio and has already raised more than 65,000 dollars since launching on Thursday night. What’s being auctioned off is a ton of Beyonce’s gowns and other things that her mother, Tina Knowles, has designed. According to Ratethemusic.com, the collection includes Beyonce’s 2004 gold Grammys gown and the chainmail-style top she wore on the cover of solo album Dangerously in Love. Check out over 100 high qualities Here.

THE TRL AND 106 & PARK VIDEOS ARE BACK ONLINE!

Unfortunately, the server I am on does not allow media files. That includes RealMedia, MP3, MPEG, WMV, etc. So that means that I will have to take all of the media that is currently on the site down. I know … it sucks. Fortunately, I have a ton of great friends online. One of them is going to give me some space for my media files until next weekend. Next weekend, I will be switching servers. We all know that this server is always down and is always having some kind of issue. That is soon about to stop. As soon as we switch servers, expect more uptime and a completely faster browsing experience. But, until then … we have to live with the one we’re on lol. So the videos will be down for a little while (no more than 24 hours). I have to upload them to my friend’s server which shouldn’t take too long. So hold tight and browse the other sections of the site while I sort all of this confusion out. I also plan on releasing the forum sometime today, so look out for that as well :-P

Destiny’s Child’s ‘Farewell’ Is Actually ‘See You Later’

According to the members of Destiny’s Child, reports of the best-selling girl group’s demise have been greatly exaggerated or at least misinterpreted. True, Beyonc Knowles, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams released a statement last week acknowledging that they would be “retiring as Destiny’s Child and moving forward to pursue personal goals and individual careers in music, theater, television and film.” That announcement came after Rowland told a concert audience in Barcelona that the group’s current Destiny Fulfilled And Lovin’ It tour would mark its last performances in Europe. The American leg of that trek, scheduled to kick off July 9 in St. Louis and wrap up Sept. 9 in Seattle (with a Vancouver date Sept. 10), also is being billed as a last-chance opportunity to see the trio as a live act.

BREAKING NEWS: There will be a DVD of the tour!

Either our petition worked or DC’s Camp finally decided to film a DVD of th U.S. Tour! Whatever the case may be, I am extremely ecstatic! Destiny’s Child did some interviews on TRL and 106 & Park today, and Beyonce officially announced that there will be DVD that will be filmed on July 15 in Atlanta at the Philips Arena. Also, there is a contest going on at the official DC Website. It is called Dancing With Destiny. You can Click Here to get more information about that. Destiny’s Child Message Board Anyone?!

Okay … here’s the deal. I began working on the message board about 2 weeks ago, but unfortunately ran into a ton of problems. They are all now fixed and the board should be ready to open by this weekend. But, I want to ask you all (the fans & visitors) a question. Do you really want a message board on this site? If so .. here are some more questions.

1.) Do you want a messageboard?
2.) What name would you give it? (Remember that it’s a DC board)
3.) What features would you like to see on it?
4.) How often would you post?

Post your comments to answer the questions above .. if I don’t get enough comments, I won’t feel the need to release the messageboard. I don’t want to release a messageboard that noone wants, and have it end up being dead. So let your voices be known if you want the messageboard!! :D
