Pop diva Beyonce Knowles has revealed the secret to a happy and long-lasting celebrity romance - keeping mum. The “Destiny’s Child” star has been dating rapper Jay-Z for three years but says the key to it working so well is because she keeps it so sacred, meaning she never talks about it, reported Sky News. Beyonce admits that she’s always been a bit hush-hush about her love life - even before she was famous. “Even in school I was private. It kept my name out of people’s mouths. Not because I was ashamed of anything or because I wasn’t passionate about who I was dating, but because it seemed more pure when I treated it like it was sacred,” she said. “I don’t mind being vulnerable, but people scrutinise celebrities and make up stories. Then when everyone in the world is talking about you, it makes things really hard - not normal. I’m just a regular woman.” Meanwhile, friends have claimed the smitten pair - who make an enormous effort to keep away from celebrity photographers - are set to marry.

The girls will be playing the undercover agents showing their martial arts moves together with David Beckham in Hong Kong. J.Lo, 33, and Beyonce, 23, will be wearing skintight leather catsuits, while Beckham, 29, will appear in a cool black outfit, brandishing a Japanese Kendo sword. Both singers and Real Madrid star spent this fortnight training together. For David it is his third appearance in Pepsi ads, earlier he played a gladiator and a cowboy. According to This is London the new ad is described as “Kill Bill meets Crouching Tiger: Hidden Dragon” and costs $1 million. This week the ad is to be released in 170 countries. Singer Beyonce Knowles is no stranger to being the centre of attention, so it’s little wonder she felt right at home performing on the centre circle at a star-studded basketball game. The Crazy in Love star was joined by her Destiny’s Child bandmates Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams to belt out hits from the group’s multi-million-selling back catalogue. The trio made a timely public appearance at the 2005 NBA All Star Game in Denver, Colorado, putting paid to rumours that they were on the brink of breaking up. Last November the band, who take their name from the Book Of Isaiah in the Bible, released Destiny Fulfilled, their first album as a group following three years of solo endeavours. Beyonce, 23, sang Lose My Breath before making the player introductions.
Destiny’s Child did an amazing job performing at tonight’s NBA All-Star Game. They performed a Lose My Breath medley, and then players from the Eastern Conference were announced as they got dressed. After the player introductions, they came out in black leather outfits and performed an excerpt of Soldier as well. After the soldier performance, players from the Western Conference were introduced, and this concluded the introduction of the basketball players. The news R&B beauty Beyonce Knowles has replaced Minnie Driver to perform at the Oscar ceremony next Sunday (Feb 27, 2005) left the British actress-turned-singer devastated. The 34-year-old was considered the obvious choice to perform the song, which is nominated for the Best Original Song award, as she sang it in movie The Phantom of the Opera. However, hugely popular Destiny’s Child hitmaker Knowles recently stepped in to perform the track. A close source says, “Minnie just doesn’t have the pulling power or the voice of Beyonce. Minnie is devastated and inconsolable. She’d told everyone that this was to be her big break as a singer.” Knowles is also singing two other nominated songs at the 77th Academy Awards - including Look to Your Path from Les Choristest (The Choir) and The Polar Express theme Believe.

For months, people have been buzzing about a rumored Destiny’s Child world tour. Well, buzz no longer, because the R&B supergirls have announced the first batch of dates, and they’re bringing Big Macs. The McDonald’s-sponsored Destiny Fulfilled … And Lovin’ It Tour kicks off April 9 in Hiroshima, Japan, and hits 14 countries in Asia, Australia and Europe. The North American leg of the tour begins in July and will make stops in 44 cities throughout the U.S. and Canada. Though exact dates and cities have yet to be announced, it was announced that the final stop of the tour will be in Honolulu in September.
